Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional care for pets in the absence of their owners -manage multiple dog/dog personalities one time -be able to break up a dog scuffle if a scuffle occurs -be in good physical shape, able to lift dogs and dog crates, and active -send updates to pet parents -sweep -sanitize crates and play area -feed multiple dogs -multi-task -talk to clients over phone and in-person - Feed, walk, and play with pets according to their specific needs - Administer medications or treatments as instructed by pet owners or veterinarians - Ensure pets have access to clean water and a comfortable environment - Clean up after pets, clean cages, and outdoor areas, pick up poop - Monitor pets for any signs of illness or distress -
Experience:
- Previous experience in pet sitting or a related field is preferred - Knowledge of animal behavior and basic care techniques - Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and confidently - Excellent customer service skills to interact with pet owners and address their concerns or requests - Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus - Experience working in a kennel or veterinary clinic is beneficial - Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary (e.
